Grand Buffalo Hold and Win is the newest BGaming slot on the TRUEWAYS engine, released on 21 April 2026. It keeps the six reels, the 5,000x cap and the coin-collecting round of the earlier games, swaps coins for Fireballs, and builds on the badge idea from Wild West TRUEWAYS: the Mega Jackpot Badge now saves progress across devices, and a counter shows how close each round is to the prize.

Two numbers stand out against the earlier TRUEWAYS games. BGaming rates the volatility high rather than very high, yet free spins are rarer: about one trigger in 330.60 spins against one in 229 in Elvis Frog TRUEWAYS and Wild West TRUEWAYS.
Fireball Respin
Six or more Fireballs start the round. It works like the Coin Respin in the other TRUEWAYS games:
- 3 respins; each Fireball or Lightning that lands sets the counter back to 3;
- Lightning splits a middle or big unit into two smaller ones – in a small cell it splits a random larger unit and the original Fireball appears in both halves;
- the round ends when the respins run out or every position is filled, and all values are added up.
Regular Fireballs are worth x1 to x15 according to review sites. iGamingToday puts the Mini at 20x and the Major at 100x, and three sources give the Mega as 1,000x. BGaming itself doesn’t publish these values. New in this game is an on-screen Fireball counter that shows how many Fireballs have landed towards the prize; it resets with each new round. The Mega Jackpot Badge
Scatters landing in the base game and in free spins fill a badge. Two review sites and one casino say it takes 250 scatters, after which the badge turns from wood to gold. From then on, BGaming says, the Mega jackpot “becomes available for claiming every Bonus game if the required number of Fireballs is landed”. Progress is saved across sessions and devices; for Wild West TRUEWAYS, BGaming mentions sessions but not devices. BGaming doesn’t say whether the badge resets after a Mega win.
Free spins
Four, five or six scatters award 12, 15 or 20 free spins. During the round, 3, 4, 5 or 6 scatters add 5, 12, 15 or 20 more. The Buffalo wild appears on reels 2 to 5 and carries a x2, x3 or x5 multiplier in free spins; the multipliers on one spin are added together and applied to every win on that spin.
Buy and Chance x2
You can buy free spins or the Fireball Respin; BGaming scales the price with the bet, and review sites list 100x for either. Chance x2 “slightly raises the bet” and can’t be combined with a buy. Its exact cost isn’t clear – two review sites describe it differently from BGaming and from each other, so check the price shown in the game.
Where the game comes from
BGaming says the game “builds on what players liked about Grand Mustang”, its 2025 hold-and-win slot – the animal theme, the sense of scale and the jackpot unlock. Grand Mustang itself shares its published numbers with Gold Rush with Johnny Cash. Game designer Ruslan Shakhlovich summed up the counter and badge changes: “Every spin has even more direction.”
