Cat’s Soup Review: A 3×3 Slot With Recipes, a Jar Bonus and a 98.06% RTP

Cat’s Soup looks simple – a 3×3 grid with 5 lines – but it has an unusual bonus trigger. Every ten spins a wizard cat sets a recipe of three symbols, and landing them on the middle row in that order starts a jar-picking bonus. Released on 22 July 2025, it has a 98.06% RTP and an 8,000x cap.

Recipes

  • Every 10 spins the cat sets a new recipe of three specific symbols.
  • If those symbols land on the central horizontal row in the recipe’s order, the bonus starts.
  • Changing the bet changes the recipe.

Product owner Nikita Zavadsky: “We are particularly proud of the recipe feature, which does an excellent job of shaking up the gameplay.”

The jar bonus

Six jars appear and you open three. Each jar holds a symbol with a multiplier; the three multipliers are multiplied by each other and applied to your bet. Recipe symbols carry higher multipliers than the others. BGaming doesn’t publish the jar values, so we can’t say how often the round reaches the 8,000x ceiling – only that multiplying three values is how it gets there.

The flask multiplier

A flask beside the reels holds a progressive multiplier: x2 → x4 → x8 → … → x512, after which it resets to x2. It also resets when you change the bet. Wilds drive it, but BGaming describes the trigger in two ways – one section says any spin with a wild raises it, another says a wild that doesn’t complete a winning line raises it. BGaming also doesn’t say what the flask multiplier is applied to. Check the in-game paytable before relying on it.

Wilds and the buy

Wilds can land on any reel and substitute to complete wins, but can’t replace recipe symbols for the bonus trigger. A single buy starts the jar bonus immediately; the price is shown in the game and isn’t published elsewhere.

How it compares

At 98.06% its RTP is well above most slots; BGaming’s casual Plinko (99%) is higher. Medium volatility and a win roughly every second spin make sessions steady. For a different small BGaming game with a single bonus feature, see Wild Cash x9990.

Pros and cons

Pros

  • 98.06% RTP with medium volatility
  • Win on about 47.62% of spins
  • Recipe trigger keeps the middle row interesting
  • Jar multipliers multiply each other

Cons

  • Jar values not published
  • What the flask multiplier applies to isn’t stated
  • Buy price not published
  • No free spins

Who it suits

Good fit: players who prefer high RTP, medium volatility and short sessions with something to watch for. Poor fit: players who want to understand every rule in advance – jar values and the flask’s effect aren’t published.

Verdict

A small slot with a clever idea: a changing recipe that makes the middle row worth watching, and a jar bonus that multiplies three values. The 98.06% RTP is excellent. The gaps are in the documentation – the flask multiplier and jar values are the parts BGaming should explain better.
