Johnny vs Chicken is a crossover between two of BGaming’s own characters, released on 15 September 2026: the outlaw cowboy from the Johnny Cash games and the head rooster from Chicken Rush. It plays on a 5×5 grid with 15 fixed lines, and almost everything turns on one feature – a duel between the two that ends with an expanding wild and a multiplier.

How a duel works
- A winning line includes a VS symbol.
- Johnny and the Chicken face off on that reel, and each gets a random multiplier.
- The winner is picked at random and becomes an Expanding Wild covering the whole reel for that spin.
- The winner’s multiplier applies to every win that wild takes part in.
Duel multipliers run x2–x10, then x20, x25, x50, x100 and x500, according to BGaming’s game page and Players’ Hub. The launch press releases said “up to x100”, so the top value was either added later or left out of the announcements – we follow the game rules. When two or more expanding wilds take part in one winning line, their multipliers are added together, not multiplied.
BGaming’s rules mention three wild types in total, all substituting for everything except the scatter.
Free spins and the three Shot buys
Three scatters award 10 free spins, and every three more during the round add 10. The interesting part is that two versions of the round exist only as buys – they can’t be triggered from the base game:

Activated from the buy menu, Chance x2 makes scatters appear more often and raises the bet by 50%.
Who’s who
Johnny is BGaming’s own outlaw cowboy – not the singer – from Train Heist Johnny Cash and earlier games. His opponent comes from Chicken Rush, where three rooster sheriffs run the town; the launch press calls him “the lead sheriff”, while this game’s page jokingly brands him an outlaw. BGaming’s CPO Julia Alekseeva called the game “the ultimate BGaming IP showdown”, and VegasSlotsOnline notes that the voiced exchanges between the two characters are a first for the studio.

The crossover idea is fun, but the duel is what makes the game: a random multiplier up to x500 on a full-reel wild, available in the base game.
